What changes the price
- Solo versus group walks
- Length of walk
- Travel distance
- Whether they hold keys and do a home check
- Insurance, vehicle costs and first aid training
Value signals
A walker charging a little more may be walking three dogs instead of eight, using a properly fitted-out van, and sending you a photo every day. That is a different service.
Fair questions
Ask what happens if you cancel, whether there are bank holiday rates, and how payment works. Getting that clear at the start avoids awkward conversations later.
