About

I'm Julie, and dogs have been a huge part of my life for many years, but it was my own dog Luka who completely changed the direction of it. Our journey together sparked my interest in dog training and eventually led me to create MyLuka Dog Training Solutions in 2019. Before becoming a dog trainer, I spent years working in Early Years Education with children aged four to five. Learning through play was at the heart of everything I did. I saw how motivation, encouragement and praise helped children enjoy learning, build confidence and want to try again. Those principles have stayed with me and are a huge part of the way I approach dog training today. I'm particularly passionate about puppies and giving them the best possible foundations from the very beginning. Luka is still at the heart of MyLuka. He inspired the business, shaped the trainer I became and, even now, continues to teach me plenty.
